Canopy
Pyramidal when young, developing thick, glossy, dark green, heart-shaped foliage turning butter-yellow in autumn; the leaves are moderately scorch resistant.
Position
Prefers a moist, well drained soil in full sun.
Tolerates a wide range of conditions once established, including heat, moderate drought, wet locations and a high resistance to pests and disease.
Best Suited For
May be of use in streetscapes where other Birch trees are less suited.
Care
A low maintenance tree that is well suited to Australian conditions. Avoid pruning in late winter and early spring.
