Erect branches with woolly white new leaves maturing to oval shaped, silver-green. Masses of white flowers in Spring followed by small, round, yellow-green fruit.


Prefers fertile, moist, well-drained soil in full sun. Tolerant of wet and frost conditions


Mulch to retain soil moisture and control weeds. Water well during Summer. Fertilise during the growing season

Ideas for Use

Ideal feature tree providing year round interest. Lovely in rows and avenues. Fruit can be used to make pear cider.
