A deciduous, wide spreading tree with spectacular, very early, mildly fragrant floral display of slightly pink buds opening to white flowers in pendant clusters.

Spreading crown and gracefully drooping branches. Broadly vase-shaped & flat topped. Mild green, large serrated leaves turning yellow/orange bronze in Autumn.


Adaptable to a variety of conditions though prefers moist, fertile, well-drained soil in full sun to part-shade.

Best Suited For

Small garden, street or public spaces.


Mulch to retain soil moisture and control weeds. Fertilize during the growing season. Water well in Summer. Protect from strong winds to prevent damage to flowers.
