Beautiful, large, purple-pink flowers which resemble orchids adorn this striking tropical tree providing colour and interest to gardens from February to November.
The Hong Kong Orchid grows up to 7 – 9 metres in height and 4 – 5 metres in width with large heart shaped dark-green leaves. This tree is easy to grow and does best in well-drained, fertile soil, positioned in full-sun and shielded from frost and wind.
Popular for it’s fragrant flowers which will brighten up the garden and can be pruned for indoor vases. A great specimen tree, the flowers are sterile so it will not litter the garden with dropped seed pods.
