An impressive specimen tree and a great choice for large gardens or parks. Due to its short trunk and upright uniform habit, the cyprus oak is often seen lining residential streets.
The cyprus oak is a compact, columnar tree maturing into a dense elongated shape and reaching a height of 8-12 metres. Its narrow crown grows to a width of up to 4 metres.
The dark green, glossy, lobed leaves measure up to 14cm long and up to 5cm wide and turn golden brown in autumn. Acorns accent the tree in winter. Prefers well-drained, acid or mildly alkaline clay soil and positioned in full sun.
With its adaptable and hardy nature, this tree is well suited for most urban or semi-rural landscapes.
