A moderate to fast growing ornamental pear tree which can be semi-evergreen in some areas. Glossy rounded leaves are one of its many features with a mass of floral display and good autumn foliage colour. The Bradford pear can cope with slightly alkaline soils, air pollution and some coastal exposure. Able to handle intermittently wet, heavy soils and semi dry conditions.
