Purplish-red buds open to single purplish-pink flowers to 4 cm diameter with golden anthers and twisting petals.
Umbrella-shaped. Slender branches are semi-weeping from a 1.75 m ‘standard’. Bronzy-green leaves with a coarsely serrate margin. New growth purplish-bronze.
Water after planting until established and during extended periods of dryness. Mulch well. Adaptable to a wide range of conditions but best in deep, rich, well-drained soil.
